It has long talked of a return in the studio of the band that was Layne Staley, after the various reunion that have susseguite since 2005, but few days ago, the magazine Blabbermouth.net gave official confirmation: thirteen years after the release of ‘Latest album namesake and six years after the death of the historian frontman, Alice In Chains come in the studio to record a new Music album.

The band had already convened in July in a study of North Hollywood to try the new songs with William Duvall (pictured), singer Comes With The Fall, assisted by a producer for hours without name. Registrations will begin in October, while the output of disc speaks of the first months of 2009. As always, when a group replaces a member charismatic - and it was Laney, eccome - the risk of a flop is around the corner.

After the jump, for example, you can see the video of “Man in the box” sung live by its Duvall: apart from the timbre completely different - but that there is also - what seem to miss the new frontman is the charisma that characterized suffered Laney, who died - remember - in 2002 due to un’overdose. You who do you think?
