Basement Jaxx (ft. Dev Hynes) - My Turn., New companies, Electronics, Dance, Experimental

The Basement Jaxx, the century Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe are two producers of electronic dance music and most important of the last decade. Beginning in 1999 while in England impazzava the big beat of Prodigy and Chemical Brothers, the duo Brixton with the album Remedy and the two subsequent Rooty and Kish Kash, cavalcava the world rankings and clubs with their own house blended jazz, soul and Latin rhythms and sometimes tribal.

The latest album, Crazy Itch Radio is released in 2006 by levying a good feedback received by critics and the public but since then have not been firm. In addition to some excellent remix, on all Cold Shoulder of Adele (if you have not heard is a must look for networking) and a ep titled Planet 1.

I did not hear but I discovered via Pitchfork that the voice of My Turn is nothing less than Dev Hynes aka Lightspeed Champion, genietto dell’indie folk world. The result is strange: the melodic voice of Dev not merges best with the rhythm of the piece but by the passage of atmosphere.

“Super Taranta is the new proposal of Gogol Bordello to break down the tension el’isteria global transforming all negative energy around us in positive, as did the tarantella originally.” Here is the statement of Eugene Hutz on the albums of his gypsy punk band: clear therefore that their concert in Salento, that strip of Puglia Squeezed between Lecce and the sea and home of Taranta, announced as the event of the summer. I was by those shares on vacation, could lose?

Incorporated within the South East Independent Festival, the concert Gogol was preceded by other band of gypsy tradition, the Balkans or Salento. From report Mascarimirì, expert training that has managed to reinvent the taranta in key dub, and Opa Cupa, phenomenal big band jazz / Balkan / Mediterranean / add-you-something-to-pleasure that for almost an hour has given us a ‘Explosion of energy irresistible.

E ‘midnight when Hutz salt on stage: blue trousers, naked torso and strafottente face baffuta that seems not to betray emotions. At his right exposure violinist Sergey Rjabtzev, companion and co-founder of the group. With just the first notes of “Sally” and the incredible happens: the prophecy of taranta comes and the masseria, stipata of people already tired for the long, hot day, explodes in a giant dance ensemble.

Announced \"Dear Sciences, the new album of TV On The Radio., New companies, Indies, Experimental, dear sciences, new album, tv on the radio

The release date is announced on September 22 for the USA, 23 for the rest of the world.

A welcome return for those who love the sounds of indie band born in 2001 (magical year for music of the big apple), and its mix of electronic, jazz, psychedelic, hip hop, a mix is not always easy but certainly original word in recent years has used very little applied to music.
