Friday, July 18th, 2008

We have already talked about Albert Hammond Jr., talented guitarist from The Storkes, and his personal career as a soloist. After apprezzatissimo Yours To Keep, made up of delicious pop melodies and captivating. Approximately like the Strokes without the patina fighetta and better vein composition compared to last 2 albums.

The new album is called ¿Cómo Te Llama? And exits in Europe for the Rough Trade Records. The first single disc is this CfG and its video head of the post is directed by Laurent Briet. The song and video are really not bad, the photo album I have to wait and listen to them more carefully.

Pharrell would produce the new album of the Strokes., Rock, News, albert Hammond Jr., pharrel williams, producer new album, strokes

The Strokes are a defining moment in their careers: with their 3 albums have strongly marked the decade that goes to a close, and they know perfectly well that right now is playing chances to get out alive from these years zero and pursue career . It is no coincidence it seems to me that among the members of the band kingdoms a discreet confusion.

If Nikolai Fraiture, bassist, this spring announced the start of work on the new album, today Albert Hammond Jr. throws a cold shower on fans: not only are not working (indeed, he is on tour to promote his new solo album ), But has openly declared that if not released a new album of the Strokes by the end of 2009, fans believe that we have dissolved, leaving that there would be no point continuing.

Meanwhile Julian Casablanca has fun with Pharrel and Santogold. And Pharrell Williams, enthusiastic about the work done with Casablanca, said he was willing to produce the new album the group in New York. It’s fine having an eclectic character, but there seems possible that one like him, accustomed to pop and all’hip hop, is at home to arrange ritornelli rock? We fans not only have to wait and, why not, hope for good.
