Listen to the disc of Little Joy of Fab. Moretti

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

The Little Joy is the band that Fabrizio Moretti has put up with Rodrigo Amarante Bink Shapiro and when it is paused by The Strokes. Moretti and Rodrigo Amarante, Brazilian and member of the group indie-rock Los Hermanos, were known to a Portuguese festival and decided to work together after it has collaborated with Devendra Banhart. Bink Shapiro, however, from what I understand, is the new flame of the drummer.

The Bloc Party live in noise on the Blogotheque

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

The Blogotheque is a very welcome French blog on the web. Especially for a special feature that distinguishes it in view of the blogosphere: the concerts a emporter.

For those who, like me, the French do not chew anything for the concerts a emporter are nothing more than live that artists give to the cameras on the blog streets of Paris. It is a particular size where you can also see rock bands in new acoustic sessions in the street.

The Toystore of Coralie Clement

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

Indie-folk atmosphere with refined echoes of Brazil. Songs almost whispered in the language of Moliere by a female voice weak and conturbante. Timeless atmosphere, somewhere between 1963 and 2008. Clear influences of fathers and mothers of the noble French song (Gainsbourg and Hardy in the first place). A small corner of Italy.

No, we are not talking about Madame Bruni - Sarkozy. But another “relative” and famous lanciatissima. His name is Coralie Clément and many perhaps if the recall for an album a few years ago (Salle des pas perdus, 2002) and a delightful songs that often spent the night in the programming of MTV and Radio Monte Carlo (L’ombre et la lumiere).

The new Franz Ferdinand album has a name and release date

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

He has a title, finally, the new album Franz Ferdinand which is now vocifera by a piece: it is called “Tonight” because - in the words of Alex Kapranos - ‘It is like when you’re in your room and you’re looking for the office before out for an evening [...] is music for the night on the dancefloor, so Tonight we felt the title right. ” A turning point for the dance Franz then, turning confirmed by the person who could listen to 6 new songs presented by the band during a small concert at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg last week.

The songs “Bite Hard,” “Turn It On,” “Katherine, Kiss Me,” “Ulysses” and “What She Came For” - all played with abundant doses of synthesizers - were described by the British press as much Dancy. Besides the title is also the official date of publication, January 26 2009.

Bloc Party: “Intimacy”, the review

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

\"Intimacy\", the review., bloc party, intimacy, new album, Indie Rock ,Reviews

Released only for download (the CD comes out Oct. 27) and past quite unnoticed, “Intimacy” by Bloc Party is one of those discs that leaves perplexed. Not because it is ugly, indeed, is a great disc. But the sudden turn dance leaves at least bewildered. The comparison with the two previous work then it is difficult, as wanting to compare the blue period Picasso with the pink. Which was better? Unable to respond. Yet they are always, the Bloc Party, and feel no betrayal.

There is only the desire to experiment, not to be locked in a genre that after only 6 years is likely to be finished. Purists of the rock maybe storch the nose, but we must pay tribute to a group that still young, challenge any logic market is reinvented and forces us to come to terms with their entire discography.

In London, the nu-rave goes to great and feels because the band Kele Okereke wrapped an album that dancefloor perhaps spaccherà the middle Europe. It is understood from the first notes of “Ares” with the battery stolen devastating to the brothers and chemicals that might help the rebirth of big beat. “Mercury” we know well by now, while in “Halo” find the most Bloc Party rock with a punk sfuriata which, for the sake of oxymoron, Okereke sings delicate words of love.

New video and album for Cold War Kids., New CD, Video ,Indie Rock, cold war kids, loyalty to loyalty, something is not right with me

The Cold War Kids are a group of Fullerton, California, that with a solo album assets and a handful of ep have become perhaps the greatest exponents of the new American indie-rock capable of evolving to stay but at the same time very attached to the solid guitar roots. Robbers & Cowards, their first album released in 2006 for V2 Records, was also acclaimed by the excellent feedback and subsequently became especially on the web.

And thanks to a couple of excellent individuals: Hung Me Up To Dry and We Used To Vacation. Tuesday, 23 always come out on V2 in Europe, the new album of the Californian quartet titled “Loyalty to Loyalty.” To accompany the disc is a single Something Is Not Right With Me and the video directed by Sophie Muller and after that you can see the link.

It will be “Breakeven” the third single from The Script

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

It will be \"Breakeven\" the third single from The Script., New CD ,Video, Indie Rock, live, breakeven new album, new single, new video, the script

A few months passed from the first single from The Script “We cry”, which still collects a great success, and already the band announces the launch of the third, after “The Man Who Can not Be Moved”. This is “Breakeven”, a piece of confirming the style of Irish band perhaps not exactly original (echoes of U2, voice to Sting), but definitely effective and sounds very appealing.

Since then seem to get live well, as you can see in the video-live of this new single: can be found below. For those wishing to know more there is an Italian official website where, among other things, announce the release of its namesake disc, in our shops, for the date of September 19.

The Last Shadow Puppets - My Mistakes Were Made For You

Monday, September 8th, 2008

The Last Shadow Puppets - My Mistakes Were Made For You., Video, Indie Pop, Indie Rock

It can be from one moment to finish all be pop stars hype and become a sort of singer-songwriter all strings and orchestrations of great taste? It seems you can, if your name is Alex Turner and with the leadership of James Ford production, half of Simian Mobile Disco, steps from the Arctic Monkeys to The Last Shadow Puppets.

To me the draft Alex Turner and Miles Kane likes decidedly including video which are directed by Richard Oyade. The last video excerpt from the first album The Age Of The Understatement out for Domino and candidate for the Mercury Prize is this My Mistakes Were Made For You. The video, if you like nebbiose walks in the night, after the link.
