We are nearly there all’attesa night of the election for President of the United States of America. Barak Obama or John McCain? The find in the next few hours. We recommend that Polisblog follow directly from this evening at 22.00, all phases of the elections.

For our part we can only wait, seizing the opportunity to see the video of two songs written to support their candidates of reference. This is the “Yes we can” that has put together some star under the direction of Will I Am and “Raisin ‘McCain” the country singer John Rich.

Here they are the Genesis of three decades ago, when they were in 5 in training that has made them famous: Peter Gabriel (below, make-up), Phil Collins (the second Long Hair) and then Tony Banks, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford. Always been the dream of their fan base is able to revise together on tour and some new hope shines through the recent statements made by some of them to Billboard.

A significant attempt was made a couple of years ago, met several times but Peter Gabriel, for which there proved there available, then declined to “other commitments”. Well-informed voices telling him that the idea has long tease es’era almost convinced but then, at that moment, not heard (yet?) Ready.

Now only missing 3 days for the release of “Keeps Gettin ‘Better-A Decade Of Hits” album of new Christina Aguilera, and begin to turn the network even in advance of the first new songs in this collection of his greatest successes. Already know the first single “Keeps Gettin ‘Better” as well as the new version of “Genie In A Bottle” on “Genie 2.0″, now we can have a taste (30 seconds) of unpublished material of this new disc:

specifically we refer to “Dynamite” (you can listen here), which will most likely become the next individual with a video around December, and the new version of “Beautiful”, which now is called “You Are What You Are “(Click here to listen). With these snippets we can not help but be disappointed even if it is too early to make judgments:

Rieccoci the contest between songs. Last week we were left with the challenge “hourly” which saw “For an hour of love” in the version of Antonella Ruggiero feat. Subsonic crush the “Happy hour” of Ligabue. Today we risk another foregone conclusion - but it’s a game and anything can happen - and taking advantage of the launch of the new site with the history of video MTV, we challenge two songs that deal with the famous network TV.

On the one hand, ironically the first video broadcast on music channel, namely “Video Killed The Radio Star” by The Buggles (published in 1979 and then inserted the disc The Age of Plastic 80).

As announced in expenditure record this week, came the new (big) single of Isis: “Not in Rivers, But in Drops”, the song contained in the “In the Absence of Truth” which now goes back to two years ago. The Isis, along with Cult Of Luna and Neurosis form the triangle of the wonders of “post-metal”, usually powerful, atmospheric, monolithic, structured and that Apocalyptic borrows the lesson of post-rock as the Tool.

Almost one month after the last studio album Musica Moderna, Ivano Fossati started with a first small series of concerts that will follow a real tour from January onwards. This preview of the big tour begins with sold-out recorded some ‘everywhere are few places for some dates, if you are interested not waste time. With Thompson on stage are Peter Cantarelli (piano and keyboards) Fabrizio Barale, (electric guitar), Riccardo Galardini (acoustic guitar), Claudio Thompson (drums) and Guido Guglielminetti (low).

The first time the concert contains some parts of the disc just released some more classic like “A Night in Canada” and (rightly) rescued “The construction of a love.” In the second stage then with a series of pieces from ninety - and chills - for a total of 23 songs, including some unexpected songs from the past.

I spoke yesterday, they see the video of Lil Wayne, a kind of hip hop that we do not like much. Today, by pure chance I was unbeaten at the exact opposite. The passage in question was that of Q-Tip, stage name del’hip hop mc Jonathan Davis of Queens. Q-tip is one of the best producers of hip hop’s East Coast, a founding member of A Tribe Called Quest perhaps the first and most important group capable of blending hip hop to the sounds of jazz so that more surprising.

To the delight of many (and the despair of many others) return to deal with Miley Cyrus and its ten hundred projects. The teen starlet produced most of the time and chat between a disk and a tv series has found time to also be dubbed, and did so in large:

There are only a few days for the release of “At my age” of Tiziano Ferro (Nov. 7) and slowly come to discover some features more. In recent days, the singer has met with journalists and today many newspapers came out with advances and assorted interviews.

Among the big news so we know that the new album, there will be some unexpected guests. Starting with Franco Battiato signing the text and duets in “The same time”, as announced by the rhythmic song martellante.
