Joan As Police Woman has returned with the expected second disc “To survive,” whose first single is titled “To be loved” (to fund the video Journal). A disc full of classic instrumentation for 10 songs of great atmosphere and with a pair of illustrious guests: David Sylvian (within the choirs in “Honor Wishes”) and Rufus Wainwright (in duet in “To America”).

Melodie rolling, velvety voice and safe for pieces that address also very intimate, from rabies, through happiness, sorrow and gratitude in a large disc author, than by taste after listening audience. In two years from the dazzling debut of “Real Life”, this new chapter only confirms the talent of cantautrice.

Native of Maine, former companion of Jeff Buckley, acclaimed by critics, Joan Wasser (This is the real name) boasts excellent collaborations with artists like Antony and the Johnsons, Joseph Arthur, Dave Gahan, Lou Reed and many others.
