On August 31, 2007 in this time daily times is in print the story of Stonard Lungu’s illness and this enthused a group of populace into action. Stonard managed to go to Tanzania for cancer treatment; he is dying on the Wednesday at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre. Our journalist LEVI KABWATO wrote:

Stonard Lungu’s house is on the similar road with in Ndirande and Matope main Schools. Sometime ago, this road provide in easy passage in vehicle and pedestrians nomadic from Ndirande to Makheta. It is motionless do. But due to marvelous soil wearing away and small pollution, the road has tapering right at entry of Matope main School.

Stonard’s humble Ndirande house is a little yards away from in this school. Position at the corroded iron entrance of the famous musician’s house, you obtain the emotion that the road has goes to nowhere else further than the main school. It is the type of view that – in its innocent silence – tells you that you have come to end of the road.
